Amazing and beautiful large flint "Limande" Handaxe attributed to Home Heidelbergensis Circa 450,000 to 250,000 years old.
Intelligently worked to form 2 broad cutting edges which are still sharp today.
As you can see from the photos and video, it is of Museum standard with no restoration.
The patina is a muted Autumn colour with a silky touch. On one side there are still traces of calcium build up, this can be removed further if wished by the new owner.
