A rare polished Neolithic Axe Head from near Swaffam, Norfolk, England. Old Collection formed in the 1960s.
The cutting edge has a lovely polish to it and has kept its shape nicely. The axe is roughly 6000 years old. The polishing process would of been extremely hard work and taken tens of hours.
The axe has been rehafted several times which you can see from the base.
Beautiful cream and light blue colours with marble effect.
